Founded in 2003, the Nevada Caregivers Coalition is a statewide group of organizations, agencies, businesses and individuals dedicated to supporting and recognizing the efforts of caregivers throughout Nevada. We work collaboratively to:
- Honor and create community awareness of the extraordinary service family and professional caregivers provide.
- Advocate for caregivers by supporting important changes in public policy around the issues facing those who provide care to individuals and loved ones across the lifespan.
- Provide information about services and other resources available to caregivers through our meetings, website and monthly virtual event, Conversations with Caregivers, that features a variety of speakers.
- Celebrate caregivers throughout the state each November with an annual Caregiver Recognition Event
during National Family Caregivers Month.
Caregivers include people from various backgrounds, cultures and age groups who provide help and service to another person of any age. They may be family caregivers, friends, neighbors or professionals. Caregiving issues affect everyone at some point in their lives. Even business owners and managers can benefit from learning more about the challenges of caregiving since they may have employees who work full-time but also care for a loved one at home.
The Coalition meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. PT on Zoom. Members receive monthly Zoom instructions. If you’re not a member, we encourage you to join by clicking the Contact Us button below and sending your information.
